Terms of Service New Client Consultation To start, I offer a free 15-minute consultation to discuss your project needs. If you are able to provide enough information, I can then prepare a proposal of services for your web project. If you want an online presence but are unsure how to proceed or what your particular web needs are, we can schedule a 1 to 2 hour consultation, prior to which you will complete my web assessment questionnaire. This gives us ample time to discuss your business operations and what features your website will need to serve you best. My policy is to be paid at the time of service for in-person consultations and prepayment via PayPal for phone consultations. To show my appreciation for payment in advance, I offer consultations at 30% off my regular rate. Should you retain my services, I will gladly deduct the consultation fee from your project fee. Rates Depending on the scope of work, my rates are by the hour or on retainer. Bigger projects such as web design and development are typically bid on a retainer basis, designed to save you money. Hourly rates apply to blog customization, ongoing website maintenance, copywriting, optimization and social media services although optimization and copywriting may be charged as a flat rate, depending on the project. I offer two options for hourly rates: Pay-In-Advance and Pay-As-You-Go. Pay-As-You-Go means that I will invoice you at my standard hourly rate for exact hours worked in the current month. Pay-As-You-Go contracts can evolve into a Pay-In-Advance contract. At any time, we can evaluate the number of hours of my time that you are consistently using and discuss your business goals and objectives to determine whether a Pay-In-Advance contract would better serve you, thus saving you money and ensuring that my time is available to you. Payment Terms Invoices are payable upon receipt. All invoices will be emailed to you with the option to make the payment by mailing a check or via Paypal® with a 3% surcharge added. Credit card payments can be accepted through PayPal. Pay-As-You-Go contracts are billed for the hours of work performed in the current month. A Pay-In-Advance contract is estimated on the number of hours needed for the month. Pay-In-Advance payments are paid in advance before services are rendered. KSL Designs will keep a log of hours worked and submit an itemized invoice. Unused hours can be carried forward to the next month. Hours running over the pre-paid amount will be invoiced at my standard rate. I am more than happy to consider a project that is time-sensitive. Depending on my current commitments, a rush fee may apply. |
